ALM, an integrated media company focused primarily on the legal and real estate sectors seeks a driven, proactive marketing manager to formulate strategy and aggressively execute multi-level, integrated marketing plans and programs for 12+ annual legal trade shows and conferences for the ALM Events group. This hands-on multi-tasker will manage all forms of marketing through traditional and non-traditional channels of distribution and new/social media. Qualified candidates must posses a minimum of 4 years of marketing experience, preferably within the event industry. Extensive experience with email marketing and list selection is a must. The ideal candidate will be extremely organized, capable of working well within tight deadlines, an excellent writer and a consummate team player.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning, managing and executing marketing campaigns, including direct mail, email marketing, print and online campaigns, social media, press releases and various other promotional avenues
  • Demonstrating ability to gain an understanding of various markets; managing and developing prospective databases; scheduling and executing marketing campaigns
  • Developing and maintaining strategic partnerships
  • Managing event marketing budgets
  • Developing and maintaining event web sites as needed
  • Analyze existing programs and marketing efforts for effectiveness
  • Working closely with creative department to develop and traffic marketing collateral
  • Copywriting and proofreading brochures, email promotions, press releases and related marketing collatera

Requirements include:

  • Bachelors in marketing, business or related field
  • 4+ years marketing experience required.
  • Familiarity with event marketing preferred
  • Proficiency using MS Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of basic html helpful but not required
  • Demonstrated knowledge in working with databases
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Excellent communication, creative, writing, analytical and organizational skills are required.
  • Able to multi-task, make decisions quickly and be creative
  • Must be highly detail oriented & possess solid organizational skills
  • Strong writing skills
