Bill Belichick and Tom Brady: NFL's record-breaking combo

Bloomberg photo

Tom Brady's individual awards/achievements include:

  • NFL record 23 times named AFC Offensive Player of the Week
  • 8 Pro Bowl selections
  • AP NFL MVP in 2007 and 2010
  • AFC Offensive Player of the Year: 2007, 2010, 2011
  • NFL Offensive Player of the Year: 2007 and 2010
  • NFL Comeback Player of the Year in 2009
  • Along with Joe Montana, the only two players in NFL history to win NFL MVP and Super Bowl MVP awards multiple times.

Any conversation about the most successful coach and player combination in NFL history now has to start with Bill Belichick and Tom Brady.

Together, Belichick and Brady have already won more regular-season and postseason games than any coach-quarterback combination since the league's inception. A New England Patriots victory this Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens will send both men back to a record sixth Super Bowl appearance. Two more postseason wins will give them their fourth championship ring, tying them with Chuck Knoll and Terry Bradshaw of the great Pittsburgh Steelers teams of the 1970s for the most Super Bowl championships in league history.

Click through the following slide show for an overview of the impressive records Belichick and Brady have already achieved during their 13 seasons together.
